Indonesia has agreed to pay $1.8 million to prevent one of its citizens from being executed in Saudi Arabia, just days before she was to be beheaded for killing her employer. WASHINGTON — The former commanding officer of the Blue Angels naval squadron was removed from duty at a San Diego base last week after being accused of tolerating sexual harassment and hazing while in charge of the famous aviators’ group, the Navy said Wednesday.
The complaint accused Captain McWherter of allowing “lewd speech, inappropriate comments, and sexually explicit humor,” as well as pornographic displays, and of sometimes encouraging such behavior, the Navy said in a statement.

Centenarians have lower education levels, are overwhelmingly women and are more likely to live in poverty than the 65-and-older population, according to a U.S. Census Bureau report released today. The report, “The Centenarian Population: 2007-2011,” analyzes characteristics of centenarians and how they compare with those 65 years and older.

Kennedy designating May 1963 as Senior Citizens Month, encouraging the nation to pay tribute to older people across the country. “Tỷ trọng giữa số tiền chi trả chế độ so với số thu từ đóng góp của người lao động và người sử dụng lao động hàng năm có xu hướng tăng nhanh, năm 2007 chỉ chiếm 57,2%, 2008 con số này là 73,7%, 2011: 77%, 2012: 68,6%, ước năm 2013 76,6%”, Bộ trưởng LĐ-TB-XH Nguyễn Thị Hải Chuyền nói.
Dự báo đến năm 2021 thu trong năm không đủ chi trong năm, để bảo đảm khả năng chi trả, phải lấy từ nguồn kết dư của quỹ. Đến năm 2034, phần kết dư không còn, số chi lớn hơn rất nhiều so với số thu.

Nếu nhóm quản lý từ cấp vụ trở lên ngồi thêm 5 năm thì không chỉ mất chỗ đầu vào của tuổi trẻ mà còn mất cơ hội thăng tiến của hàng loạt vị trí kế cận.
Những ngày qua, vấn đề kéo dài tuổi hưu được xới lên vì lý do nghe rất “đáng sợ”: giải quyết nguy cơ vỡ Quỹ BHXH. Tôi không ủng hộ việc nới tuổi hưu của người lao động, bởi một số lý do sau:
