Học bổng bao gồm vé máy bay khứ hồi, học phí và tiền học hàng tháng. Chi phí nơi ở được tổ chức nhận học cung cấp miễn phí. Để tham gia học bổng, ứng viên phải có ít nhất 5 năm kinh nghiệm làm việc và trong độ tuổi từ 25 đến 45 tuổi.

Cơ quan trao đổi Hàn lâm Đức (DAAD) hôm 11.6 trao học bổng cho 59 cán bộ và sinh viên VN để tham gia một khóa đào tạo thạc sĩ, tiến sĩ, cải thiện trình độ tiếng Đức thông qua một khóa học hè hoặc tiếp tục đi sâu vào công tác nghiên cứu cùng với các nhà khoa học Đức.

The position
The Lecturer will hold a position in the Leiden University Institute for Area Studies (LIAS). LIAS is committed to the integration of disciplinary and regional-historical perspectives, on a solid foundation of excellent language skills, and comprises a School of Asian Studies and a School of Middle-Eastern Studies. S/he will teach in the BA program in South & Southeast Asian Studies, the MA in Asian Studies, the BA program in International Studies, and other programs and courses as required, on undergraduate and graduate levels.

Fouad Ajami, an academic, author and broadcast commentator on Middle East affairs who helped rally support for the United States invasion of Iraq in 2003 — partly by personally advising top policy makers — died on Sunday. He was 68.
Mr. Ajami strove to put Arab history into a larger perspective. He often referred to Muslim rage over losing power to the West in 1683, when a Turkish siege of Vienna failed. He said this memory had led to Arab self-pity and self-delusion as they blamed the rest of the world for their troubles. Terrorism, he said, was one result.

Karen DeCrow, who was president of the National Organization for Women during the 1970s, a turbulent period in which she helped lead campaigns for passage of the Equal Rights Amendment and against sex discrimination in education and sports, died on Friday at her home in Jamesville, N.Y., a suburb of Syracuse. She was 76.

Stephanie L. Kwolek, a DuPont chemist who invented the technology behind Kevlar, a virtually bulletproof fiber that has saved thousands of lives, died on Wednesday in Wilmington, Del. She was 90.
Kevlar is probably best known for use in body armor, particularly bulletproof vests. A DuPont spokeswoman estimated that since the 1970s, 3,000 police officers have been saved from bullet wounds through the use of equipment reinforced with Kevlar, which is far stronger and lighter than steel.
